Anne heine

I am a corporate strategist, marketing professional, problem solver, education junkie and mother. After two decades running strategic marketing and business development for numerous high tech consumer businesses, I turned my focus to education.

In developing my unique approach to college consulting for College Made Clear, I pulled not only from my corporate background, but also from my experience as an advisor and interviewer with Georgetown University's Alumni Admissions Program, where I interviewed high school students as part of the admissions process. I also draw upon my broad educational experience to connect with students looking to explore the variety of academic options available to them. And my corporate experience allows me to effectively bridge the gap between executive suites and ivy walls to assist students in translating their educational goals into real world careers.

But above all, clarity is my superpower. I love organizing complex and critical information and presenting it in a simple way so that students have clear steps, a path forward, and good tools along the way.

I am a member of the Western Association of College Admissions Counselors (WACAC) and the Higher Education Consultants Association (HECA). I am continually seeking out news and information about schools, their programs and the students who attend them by attending conferences, traveling the country and networking with admissions professionals.

I have a B.S. in Foreign Service in International Economics & Finance from Georgetown University, an M.B.A. from the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland, an A.A. in Baking & Pastry Arts from the Culinary Institute of America and a Certificate with Distinction in College Admissions and Counseling from the University of California, Los Angeles.

I work with students in Napa County (St. Helena, Calistoga, Yountville, Napa, American Canyon) and beyond, including Marin, San Rafael, Santa Rosa, Petaluma, Coachella Valley, Palm Desert, Palm Springs, and Rancho Mirage and across the country. I meet with students virtually and travel frequently to meet with families in person when all parties are comfortable.
